    Core facility extracellular vesicles

    Our lab is fully equipped with a state-of-the-art facility for the isolation, purification and downstream characterisation of extracellular vesicles.

    The core facility is accessible to members of FAU – please get in touch with us should you want to have support.

    Available instrumentation:
    • Ultracentrifuge Optima XPN80 (Beckman) with rotors 32 SW and 45 Ti for EV isolation
    • Äkta Start and Äkta Pure for EV purification
    • Nanoparticle Tracking Analysis Zetaview Twin (Particle Metrix) for EV characterisation
    • Cytoflex SRT (Beckman) for analysis and sorting of S2 bacteria
    • Confocal laser scanning microscope (Evident) with FLIM/FCS module (PicoQuant) for cell and bacterial analysis
    • Automated live cell imager FX (Lionheart) for high-content cell imaging
