Ilaria Bettin

Ilaria obtained her Master’s degree in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Techniques from the University of Padova (Italy) and completed her PhD in Biochemistry at the University of Verona (Italy). During her PhD, she joined the lab of Prof Fuhrmann as a visiting PhD to carry out part of her project. She later seized the opportunity to return to Erlangen to work at the Chair of Pharmaceutical Biology as postdoctoral researcher. Her current project focuses on the development of stimuli-responsive hydrogels loaded with antibacterial extracellular vesicles for the selective and localized treatment of infections.
